About Mudgee Wolves FC
Mudgee Gulgong Wolves FC is responsible for all local competitive soccer in the Mudgee, Gulgong, Rylstone, Kandos, Dundeoo, Coolah and surrounding areas. Soccer is a fun way for children of all ages to stay active during the winter season and a terrific opportunity to develop sporting skills and an awareness of team play in a safe and friendly environment.
The Mudgee Gulgong Wolves FC conduct a junior competition for children ranging from 5 years through to 16 years of age, as well as representative teams that play in Western Youth League competitions. In addition, senior men’s grade teams and a senior women’s team compete in Bathurst District competitions. For the Junior Competition, games are played in Mudgee and normally commencing at 8.30am with fun skills for the Unders 6’s followed by the weekly age group games each Saturday during the competition season. Western Youth League and Senior games are played on Sundays according to dates set down by Bathurst District Football and Western NSW Football.
There are also opportunities for experienced young players to develop refereeing skills and obtain an official NSW Referee’s qualification. This is a great way for players to develop a better awareness of the rules of the game and develop leadership and management skills that will be valuable to them in many other pursuits.
